About us
CySoc (Cybersecurity and SOCial Systems) lab is an interdisciplinary group of researchers exploring the intersection of cybersecurity, quantum computing and social systems. Our lab's focus is dynamic and forward-looking, reflecting the rapid evolution of digital ecosystems and human-technology interactions. Currently, much of our research integrates machine learning, quantum-inspired algorithms and trust modeling to address modern challenges in cybersecurity and online social systems.
Research
Our work spans several interconnected areas:
- Cybercrime and Quantum-Resilient Security: We investigate emerging threats in cyberspace and develop quantum-secure frameworks to detect, prevent, and mitigate cybercrime.
- Trust and Online Safety: Our team models digital trust, analyzing how confidence, reputation, and authenticity are formed and manipulated across online environments.
- AI and Quantum Techniques for Cyber Defense: We leverage deep learning, graph-based intelligence, and quantum-inspired optimization to enhance threat prediction and automate defensive mechanisms.
- Social Network and Information Dynamics: We study how influence, misinformation, and malicious content spread across digital networks, identifying patterns that affect collective trust and security.
- Digital Forensics and Quantum Data Analysis: Our researchers design next-generation tools for evidence collection and analysis, preparing for the challenges posed by quantum-era data systems.
